This week on SPSM Chat co-hosts Rudy Caseres (@RudyCaseres), Danielle Glick (@danielleglick), and Hudson Harris (@mentalstrategy) discuss giving a voice to suicide survivors with guest Mariangela Abeo (@MariangelaAbeo). Mariangela is a photographer and creator of the Faces of Fortitude movement. This project lays a foundation of healing through captured portraits of those personally affected by attempted or completed suicide, and provides a safe, stigma-free space for mental health to be discussed, and stories of loss and survival to be shared. Mariangela did not hold back during our discussion which covered the importance of safe spaces, responsible storytelling, diversity, the use of trigger warnings, and different ways to express ourselves.
