After this week, it is likely that we all have the shared experience of remembering where we were when we found out that Robin Williams died by suicide. The media, and specifically the social media, surrounding his death have penetrated our social conscious. In many ways suicide has been discussed in our media like never before.

And, in the era of social media, many people from our #SPSM community participated in planning, generating, and responding to this content.

Our upcoming chat will focus on sharing our roles in this week’s media, discussing our observations, lessons learned, and our thoughts about future directions for social media and suicide prevention.
